| We've moved! Effective August 1, 2008, Communities In Schools of Randolph County's main office will be located at 313-A Trindale Road, Suite 203, Archdale, NC 27263. Program growth in the Archdale-Trinity area, as well as throughout Randolph County, prompted the move.
“We have been guests at John Lawrence Elementary for a number of years, and they have been very gracious hosts,” explained CISRC Executive Director Sandi Norman. “We have just outgrown the space in terms of our staff. John Lawrence Elementary will now house our Archdale-Trinity area coordinator and volunteer coordinator.”
The executive director and assistant director will be housed in the new office. Other CISRC area coordinators are based at Southmont Elementary School, Randleman Elementary School, and Southeastern Randolph Middle School.

| Communities In Schools of Randolph County is pleased to announce a partnership with Asheboro City Schools and the hiring of an Asheboro Area Coordinator. Mitzi Cartwright will be working with the Asheboro City Schools to bring Communities In Schools programs and volunteers into the schools. Ms. Cartwright worked as the Director of the Central United Methodist Day School for the past three years and has served as PTO president at both Guy B. Teachey and South Asheboro Middle School. She also serves on the Asheboro High Athletic Booster Club.
“We are excited to have Communities in Schools expanded to Asheboro. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work with CIS in the Asheboro City Schools and with volunteers and businesses in our community,” said Ms. Cartwright. Communities In Schools will begin in the Asheboro City Schools by focusing on mentoring especially in the middle and high school.
