Welcome to Communities In Schools of Lenawee County!
Many Lenawee County youth live in the shadow of poverty, drugs, violence, family dysfunction, and low self-esteem. Schools are already stretched to their limits - they simply don't have the funds, staff or expertise in all areas to address these issues.
They need our help!
By connecting schools with existing community resources, CIS helps students stay in school and make the right choices. By bringing resources, services, parents, and volunteers into schools, we create a community of caring adults who work hand in hand with educators.
The result: teachers are free to teach and students can concentrate on learning.
