FAST Graduation Held at Lewisville Elementary School
Lewisville Elementary School in partnership with Communities In Schools of Chester County, Inc. celebrated the graduation of families from their fourth FAST cycle on October 30th. Supported by funds from the Safe School/Healthy Students Grant, six families from Ms. Heather Gladdens’ 4-year old kindergarten class were recognized for their accomplishments.
Mr. Carl Carpenter, Principal of Lewisville Elementary School, and Mr. Wallace Thompson, Executive Director of Communities In Schools spoke during the celebration and congratulated the families.
FAST is a research based program which uses partnerships between schools, parents, and communities to enhance the relationships with family members, peers, teachers, administrators and community members. These relationships then form a social safety net that helps keep kids in school, off drugs and alcohol, and out of trouble.
